Thanks, where is located the VIN or serial number on the motor?

 

Presumably you are in the USA?? In any event, this side of the forum is for sidekicks/trackers. You should post on the Sammi forum for better info. On the Tracker, at least, there is a VIN posted on the dash and along the A pillar. An engine number is at the back of the engine, by the tranny bellhousing. And certainly if you are in the USA, your VIN is listed on your title and registration documents that you should have received when you purchased the car.

Didn't you get any documents with the car? Registration or title?? Here, if you open up driver's side door and look on side of dash panel, there should be a little plaque there. Here are photos of locations:

Yessss, I need to know for in the event of police wants to investigate. Dash decal and documents all are ok, hope you understand me..... Most of cars have the VIN on motor grabbed.

 

Look here: Vin Motor Decoder and here: how do tell which engine you have. Hope this helps. Also, try the Samurai forum.

Did you not look at the above link? It shows EXACTLY where VIN number and motor number is on the Samurai. Your motor number is just to the right of the exhaust manifold, just like in the link. All should have them in that place, unless, of course, car was stolen, wrecked, seized, whatever. VIN number is on dash. Motor number is on motor as above. No VIN number is listed on the motor.

 

The VIN will not be on the motor - it will be on the body & also on the chassis or frame. The motor will have it's own number.
