You think so? I mean the language of my dashboard, not my media system. Cause these cars when bought in the Netherlands do have Dutch, mine is imported from Germany. And would it be possible to disable TPMS, cause i changed the tires but they dont have the TPMS sensors and I constantly get an "Service TPMS" warning on my dashboard and it does not go away.
I'll have a look for you this afternoon, cause now im kinda curious aswell :)

I have a Suzuki Baleno 2017, but I cannot change the language to Dutch. Would it be possible to do this with this diag tool and software?

If you have an android based smart phone you can use Google translate and the phone's camera to translate the dash menu settings - there may be a language setting in there, there is one on my Jimny, and I can switch from English to Dutch or German.

Does anyone know if it is possible to use this Suzuki Scan Tool clone to access cruise control radar sensor calibration C1618 on a Suzuki Swift SZ5 DUALJET MHEV CVT 2018-2022 model?

And would this tool be suitable as well? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006439396162.html
Or does it have to be the one that OP linked above? https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/1005005923673907.html

There's about a £40 difference, so if they are both fit for purpose, would make sense to get the cheaper one.

If for any reason these tools are not fit for purpose for the newer Suzuki models, could anyone advise on an alternative tool that allows access to the required functionaly (radar calibration)?

I've recently had to do the same for a Suzuki Swift, hopefully following the instructions from this video sorts it out for you too.
Remember you'll have to drive / turn the tires a few times before the light goes away completely.

Hi
Does this work on JB74 Jimny?
Specifically wondering what else it can access. For example, change TPMS from KPA to PSI
To reset the TPMS threshold (I doubt it)
Or anything else which I can't do if buying something else like a LAUNCH X431 scanner?

Interesting topic otherwise, well done on this work

Hi, i know radar calibration is possible voor my 2016 vitara, i think it should also be possible for the swift. As for the vcm thats 40 bucks cheaper it does have a different pcb so i cant really tell you if its gonna work or not.
Aliexpress does have a pretty solid return policy so you could always try.

If theres anything else i can help you with feel free to ask.

I do know you can program new tpms into the ecu with this tool. I dont think its possible to change to kPa instead of psi. Nor do i think you can change the threshold outside of the presets (comfort, economy etc)

For as far as i am aware this tool supports all suzuki cars, though the possible options and settings you can change might be different.

Thank you,

I might stick with a good ELM and SZviewer for now

My Aliexpress Delphi/Snooper doesn't access much in the jimny. Aware of the lack of CAN Bus in these Japanese cars. Does anyone know if any scanners are able to access systems in Suzuki, or it is just a waste of time. I considered spending €200+ on a decent scanner Kingbolean/Launch etc

What makes you think there is a lack of CANbus in these cars? I'm fairly certain the last Jimny I looked at (a JC74) was CANbus - when I get home I'll give you a list of the systems I can access on my JB74.

Would this work to program a BCM on a 2007 Suzuki XL7? There are no dealerships in the US or any authorized mechanics within 8 hours of me. The BCM seems to have messed up when trying to change a fuse and shorted part of it because blinkers and hazards don't work.

Maybe try a Chevrolet dealership - the 2007 XL7 is essentially a rebadged Equinox.

Thank you so much for posting how to do this. I was able to get my car working again.
I would like to explain how I got it working. Suzuki used the same company for the scan tool as Ford did, so you can trick the Suzuki SDT2 software to use the VCM2 clone to connect to the car. The clone VCM2 will work, but they aren't all the same. Make sure to buy the full circuit board version (it should be 2 boards). The cheaper ones don't have the reset switch needed to connect to the software. It seemed to work better when I Installed the Ford VCM 2 manager first, then the SDT2 software. The goal to get this setup working is to replace the Suzuki VCI manager with the Ford VCI manager(which is the only way to connect to the VCM2). Both have the same start file name so the SDT2 software can't tell the difference. That's why you want to copy everything the Ford manager to the Suzuki manager, but make sure to backup the files before you copy over.

Here are some notes on doing this process.
1. It will work on windows 7 or 10
2. Sometimes I get the "configure the device" when installing. With the Ford install you might be able to connect to the tool, or if you can keep uninstalling and reinstaling until it doesn't ask.
3. Try to get it on a laptop, it's way easier to connect to the car.
4. It was capable of doing the same level of code reading as a $1,000 scan tool for way less money.
5. The first computer I tried had a connecting problem with the VCM2, so try a different computer if that happens.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hello, does it work on VITARA 2025? Thank you.

Ford VCM 3 new tool to upgrade from VCM2

The Ford VCM3, a Bosch-based J2534 device, offers potential compatibility with GM's Techline Connect (TLC) for certain programming tasks, but users should be aware of its limitations. To utilize the VCM3 effectively, it's essential to install Ford’s VCI Manager on your laptop, allowing the tool to be recognized in TLC. Although the VCM3 supports CAN FD, stability issues have been reported, with some users successfully programming modules like telematics systems while encountering challenges with odometer learning and VIN reading. Compared to the more stable MDI2 or Cardaq+3 tools, the VCM3 is better suited for non-critical tasks. Users are advised to reserve the MDI2 for VIP vehicles and complex programming scenarios, while keeping a backup tool handy for enhanced reliability.

Still wondering about this for TPMS
can someone show me a screenshot of what options are available in the TPMS menu. Is it possible to turn TPMS monitoring off entirely or other things.
From this thread I see you can access what is on the menu already - comfort settings. What else is there. I'd like to know before buying.

Sounds interesting, dont think its gonna unlock more features on the (older?) suzuki cars though. I think most of the functions are more software limited then anything else
