Suzuki Celerio Clutch

Hi All,
I’m having an issue with my Suzuki Celerio where once I I hit 30000rpm it’s as if the clutch automatically engages. At this same time the gear indicator to tell me to change up or down disappears as though the clutch has been engaged and the car can’t detect what gear I am in. This happens when I am not pressing down on the clutch.
Has anyone had similar issues?
Thanks very much in advance!

Just for clarification - the clutch engages and transfers power to the drive train when the pedal is up, when the pedal is down it's disengaged.

It sounds like you have a slipping clutch - unless you have the tools & know how to replace the clutch, you're going to need to find a garage to have it done, have the mechanic take a drive with you to confirm the diagnosis.

30k rpm might be a bit much for the clutch 😀

to understand what is happening:
You are driving, not pressing the clutch pedal, once you hit 3000 rpm it feels as if you pressed down on the clutch pedal? Is that correct? Does the rpm jump quickly up?

Hi, Yes this is exactly what is happening. No nothing unusual with the rpm. Thanks for the response!

Hi EwanCambell17. Everything points to a slipping clutch. It is just possible that the cable that enables clutch operation is out of adjustment. Have a look at page 7-28 of your Celerio owner's manual for information on this. If adjustment is all that is needed then the cost of repairs will be lessened. Good luck.
