My daughter had lost her keys bit still has the keyless fob. The car has worked fine but today the immobiliser won't disable. It's a blue key light and ignition comes on but the yellow padlock light illumates and it won't start. Any ideas? It's a 1500cc 2005 swift vvti

Low batteries in the fob?

I don't think that is a fob/immobilizer issue - what the immobilizer usually does is inhibit fuel injection & ignition so the car will crank and not fire - for a no crank situation, investigate the starter circuits.

IF the problem is the programming of the keyfob, then no - but as I said earlier - it doesn't sound like an immobilizer issue, so if it's a manual transmission, it might work.

That said - as far as I'm aware - you cannot reprogram a fob without having at least one key present and in the ignition switch at the time the fob is being programmed.
