electrical connector for oxygen sensor

I'm trying to change my passenger side upstream o2 sensor right now.
Tight space,. But I was able to use an o2 sensor socket and loosen it,..
HOWEVER,.. I cannot for the life of me get the electrical connector undone.

I've spent about an hour and a half, and I'm thinking it might just be my arthritis,.. But I cannot tell (by using the new plug I bought) even what I need to push or squeeze in order to unplug it. It's hard to believe this can actually be done without some serious dismantling, but I've seen it mentioned on this forum a few times (while trying to find the answer) so I know it can be done,...or..at least it has been done in the past by many of you.

I am doing this by feel, because mirror doesn't really help much and even when I can see it with a mirror, I certainly can't get my hand in there.

I got underneath it once, but it didn't really appear any more inviting than doing it from the top.

ok,
anybody with any ideas..please chime in. I'm all ears.
