Hi All,,

I don't seem to have dash board lights anymore, one minute working next minute nothing, has a fuse blown or something?

Strangest thing driving in the dark without the dashboard lit up.

Thanks,

BP.

Do your tail lights work?

I checked through the wiring diagrams and the dash and center console lights appear to be fused through Fuse Q (10amp Red) in the under dash fuse box. This fuse is marked TAIL as it also controls the tail and license plate lights.

Hi All,

I still seem to be having issues with fuse blowing all the time, I have changed the fuse times now and it keeps happening, the strange thing is it only happens when I travel from Derry to Belfast and on the way is a very very steep hill and this is when it seems to blow, i'm thinking this could be a needle in a haystack.

Any suggestions most welcome.

Regards,

Brian.

If by any chance, it was caused by the frequent braking which caused your brake lights to be lit up most of the time..... your tail lights might be the problem. Try changing the tail light bulbs. Probably either one or both of the bulbs are having less resistance (for some unknown reason) thus causing some sort circuiting which blows the fuse.

Lets see how it goes after changing the tail light bulbs.

I have a related problem. When the headlights are off (switch in off position), the center dash (radio, clock etc) lights are on, but as soon as I turn the headlights on the dash lights go out. I don't think it is a fuse issue.

Any ideas?

thanks,
bruce

Depending on year of manufacture, there is a few difference means of adjusting the light output on the dash and centre console. This is only in effect when the headlights are ON (or the parking indicator lights)

I recon you have yours adjusted very low. Check your manual for instructions on how to adjust them back up.

weird, mine doesn't turn off when turning the knob, they do dim into a low light which is great for long night driving, but never turn completely off.

Mine does not turn off entirely either, but, they do go VERY low. If you look at them with just a slight ambient light, or worse during daylight, it will appear that they are OFF. I suspect the LED control circuit to be a little bit off, so some might experience a blackout entirely, while others may be happy with the lowest setting.

Anyway, one problem solved haha.

Question!?

Hey man I know this post is really old But I have a 2008 Suzuki Forenza that is having the same problem like you did or still have "I hope not" But was wondering if you ever solved the problem. I did the wqhole fuse thing and seemed to work for a while then it happened again. I just seem to just go threw fuses for no reason... I was just wondering if there was something you found????
