2012 swift sport tailgate issue

Gday, I have just changed my tailgate to another as the original one was damaged. I now have the door ajar on the dash come up and won’t allow me to use the fob to lock the car, just a long beep when I try to lock it.
I have tried different things to remedy this. I have removed the original wiring from damaged one and put in the replacement one, but no difference. I was wondering if there is a button like on the passenger doors that maybe missing.
Anyway putting it out there to see if anyone has got any ideas on sorting out my issue. Cheers

Gday, I have a 2012 Swift Sport. Having some trouble after changing the tailgate with locking and symbol on dash not going away. Car can be locked inside using switch but fob wont allow to lock just long beep, but will unlock. I’m hoping to reset the BCM. Has anyone done this or is it even possible? Interested in what people’s thoughts are. Cheers

Investigate why the door ajar is being sensed, it's usually done by a switch on the door jamb that is depressed when the door/tailgate closes.

Fordem, I have been trying different things. The dash light goes out after awhile, once this happens I can open tailgate, the light comes on and I close tailgate it goes off, so great but then open any door and light stays on for awhile. It still won’t allow you to use the fob to lock, but using key in the door it locks all doors. It was why I was wondering about a BCM reset.
