ZC32S CVT Reliability

Hello folks - long time lurker here.

I'm looking at buying a used ZC32S, with the 7 speed CVT as a daily/semi-daily driver. I have previous experience with Swift Sports, having owned both a manual ZC31S and a manual ZC32S.

I've read that some people have had reliability issues with the CVT. FWIW, I also own other CVT vehicles (Honda, Nissan) and I understand the "rubber band" effect.

- Is there anything I should look out for with Suzuki CVTs?

- Should I just stay away from the ZC32S CVT on the whole?

- Do issues (if any) extend also to the base Swift as well?

Thank you.

Suzuki doesn't make CVTs, I think the Swifts use the Nissan Jatco units - personally I wouldn't buy any used vehicle with a CVT, and the one vehicle I own with a CVT is going to be replaced before it reaches the end of warranty (ten years).
