Where is the Purge Control Valve / Circuit in a 1998 Tracker?

I am fighting a P0443 now...

thanks for help!

is it the same thing as the modulator? when i google it i get pictures of my mod

This is part of the EVAP system, and is commonly called the EVAP VSV here (vacuum solenoid valve). If you locate the EVAP canister on the car, there are two vacuum hoses on the top of the canister (if it's installed correctly). One of them will lead to the VSV (there will be two of these at the front area of the car, one for the EVAP canister and one for the EGR valve. Tests for this in post #6 here:
