What is my car?

Hello

I have a 2003 Suzuki Vitara (but it's in Antigua and Barbuda) and I don't know how to find out exactly what model it is to try to get parts in the UK, which inevitably I will need. In Antigua you can buy new parts (I think they are imported from Puerto Rico) and/or obvs get them off old cars because there are a LOT of Vitaras (and even more Rav's). But that can take months of looking and waiting. I have already bought the wrong back door handle in the UK, although the (scrap) dealer said it would fit and I had sent him pictures and the VIN number...I guess he just wanted a quick sale. Door handles don't matter too much but I need to try to get it right for other parts.

The VIN number is JSAFTB52V00200252. The engine number is J20A-206614 and it's 4WD. It has been recognised as a Vitara on some of my searches, but they never give the specifics ie exact model. And I don't need to know about previous accidents etc for the searches you can pay for in the UK.

Can anyone help me narrow it down a bit?

For the purpose of purchasing spares, the model is SQ416V-3, and it's an E11 or "General Export" vehicle, meaning it wasn't built for sale in a specific country.

For Antigua & Barbuda, I think Hadeed Motors would be your local dealer.

Still trying to find parts - Hadeed Motors are the most expensive on the planet and don't keep many old car parts - does anyone know any reliable Suzuki breakers in the UK that can help? Also, do these vehicles have a helpful parts list/manual?

For a parts manual try megazip.net, you should be able to enter the VIN and get to the correct parts manual, you can buy parts from megazip, and you can also try partsouq.com & amayama.com.

For Suzuki breakers in the UK, try Dakar Suzuki, and please be aware that your car is not a UK market model, you will need to confirm part compatibility.

Normally if it’s something that I can only rely on Megazip to handle (real Suzuki parts), that’s who I use. But I will also get the factory part number from Megazip or ssg.asia, and then search the internet using that factory part number, when you can potentially find aftermarket parts that will fit.
