Hi guys and gals

I own two suzuki Vitara SB jlx both fatboys and k-reg. the problem i have is the second one I bought is a rebuild project and it has had its wheels changed with a set of bkracing wheel and they have locking nuts on them. but the guy didnt have a key to remove the locking nuts, So i tryed the key from my other vitara and it didnt fit due to a slight change in pattern of the locking nuts, so my question is did suzuki have two different type of locking nut adaptors for the vitara?

And if they dont does anyone have any ideas on how i could remove them from the vitara, i did think about hammering a 18mm socket on and trying to get them off that way but its just incase i knacker the nuts.

Thanks in advance for any help and i mean any help.

Hi

Each manufacturer of locking nuts produces a number of patterns. Any number of patterns from 20 to 200. This is to make it difficult for random opportunist thefts. So it is unlikely for one set from the same make of car to fit another.

If you are lucky you may find the right key - but they are rarely sold seperately from a full set of nuts. Therefore your best bet is to get them off in the manner you have suggested, and buy a new set of locking nuts if you value your wheels.
