Hi, our 2017 Swift Hybrid has suddenly stopped running in hybrid mode for no apparent reason. The graphic on the dashboard shows that the battery is fully charged but when you accelerate the graphic doesn’t show that the electric motor is kicking in any more like it used to.
I don’t know if it’s related, but There is a small orange light with A in a circle (the auto stop start system) flashing on the dashboard but when we push the A in a circle switch low down on the dashboard, it makes no difference to turning that orange flashing light off.
Does anyone know how we can get it running in hybrid mode again?

Fix the auto stop start first.

Get the stop start battery load tested, if its still the original its definitely getting towards the end of its life. Check for codes as well.

They lose capacity over time and once the car detects they aren't at a suitable level, they disable the system. This also stops the hybrid system from working.

Yep, the " normal " battery

I have a 2022 Swift Hybrid, it has 40,000 km. The hybrid function no longer works. It shows that the battery is charging and is fully charged, but the electric motor doesn't help, and the Starstop doesn't work either. It's actually noticeable in the car's fuel consumption, which previously produced up to 22 km/l and now produces 16-18 km/l.

What condition is the start stop battery in? Get it load tested.
If that starts to lose capacity ( its getting onfor 3 years old if its the original) then that will stop the hybrid system from activation and also prevent the start stop function as well.

Are you referring to the battery up front under the hood or the one under the seat? Either way, both batteries are original and are a little over three years old.
