Maybe stick your head inside of the boot space and locating the source of the noise by following the sound?

It's also a good idea to provide the details of the vehicle - a 2018 Vitara could have a 1.0, a 1.4 or a 1.6 liter engine - and the noise, you say it's continuous, but does that mean even when the engine is off?

Mine is the 1.6 with AllGrip and that makes no weird noises, engine on or off.

 

Thanks for replying. I've added more detail about the car type. I know the sound is coming from the right side area of the boot but there is nothing more specific I can say about location or what it is.

Happens if car is started or off. I'd guess it might have something to do with the keyless fob system maybe?

 

Figured it out. It was the light in the boot. Needed to replace the bulb.
