The worst problem in my new S-Cross Allgrip Top is:
JUST ONE USB connector !!

I usually have a USB stick with my favorite music in my car. And I've also always had the very useful Wireless interface for Android Auto.

The question is: has anyone already found a splitter, or a USB hub that allows you to use two objects at the same time?
I tried the most trivial and cheapest cables found on Amazon, but they don't work.

I'm also passing you this information, to whom it may be useful: "AA wireless" on Suzuki S-Cross DOES NOT work.
"OTTOCAST A2Air Wireless" gave me some trouble to install, but then it works fine.

The head unit is designed with one usb. Hubs will not work

How can you be sure that NO hub will work ? There are thousands of hubs, that usually works in any USB (PC, MAC, Tablets, TV....)
Yes, some hub will not work in a particular item, but it seems strange to me that no hub in the world can work with the S-Cross.
The head units are not designed like a pc.

I wrote a bullshit. After some use I have to say that OTTOCAST adapter give problems every time you turn on your car. To activate it, I have to turn on and off the phone, the car, the adapter, the bluetooth... I don't even understand which is the correct sequence, and anyway, there should be NO sequence ! It should connect automatically.

I have a Samsung S21 plus and having issue with USB not playing through an adaptor. Will play plugged straight in, but I need to have the cable plugged in for android auto.

I have a 2016 s cross and can safely say it’s the worst media centre I’ve come across.
I have in fact just been wedged behind the drivers seat lifting the back of the centre console up enough to wedge my hand under after removing a couple of 10mm nuts to push the usb back in the hole to get the retaining ring back on. What a stupid system. They could have easily made a usb port that clips in from the top so if you have problems with it it can be easily replaced from above. The usb is definitely knackered but the whole centre console will need removing to get at the clip connector to replace the usb port as it’s all done from underneath with no slack on the cable. Absolute bonkers useless design by complete idiots.
We had the centre reset twice when we had the car new as it was always struggling to connect with our iPhones through the usb and Bluetooth.
Absolutely useless bit of tech.
It’s now so bad I just give up as what with this latest thing today I feel like pouring a gallon of petrol on the entire pile of rubbish and setting light to it.
Japanese crap.
Wouldn’t touch another one, utter rubbish.
And by the way there’s more metal in a baked bean tin, what a lightweight dangerous pile of excrement.

I have the same vehicle same issue and still not resolved it also trying to connect a Samsung ultra by Bluetooth so I don't need to plug into the cable ,it's a major failing from the manufacturer to be honest!

I have wanted a lot of money trying out hubs, splitters etc and will not work that's for sure

I have a 2024 Suzuki S-Cross and i am having issues with Android Auto. The latest update does not improve this. Suzuki changed the head units from Bosch to a cheaper brand that does not have it's own SatNav, and seems that the USB connection isn't stable on any of the new S-Cross models. I have tried different leads, but still have the issue of connection dropping out while using Android Auto. I found that switching the Bluetooth off on my phone did help. but the head unit keeps switching Bluetooth back on automatically and the problem persists. USB Connection also cuts out while playing music from a pen drive.

well here is a funny one - I have a 2023 S cross Comfort plus and the Apple Car Play kept dropping out every 30 seconds, worked out the software was 2023 so plugged in a scandisk USB to update the software to 2024. Hey presto ! Bluetooth works, Wifi works and cable works all with Apple Carplay. Was happily working until Apple released their July update and now back to square one where only the bluetooth intermittently works. The bit that really boils my piss is that fact the engine needs to be running to apply any update, so with a system update this normally takes 10 minutes. For a navi/map update it takes 45 minutes, so you basically have to go for a freaking drive for 45 minutes because the update process is so sensitive even leaving the car running in a car park and getting out to stretch your legs whilst it updates causes the installation to abend. And the kicker is that if the installation is interrupted it places an invisible log in the root of the USB key so if you try another attempt that fails too. The only way is to format a Scandisk 64GB key with FAT32 an download the car's key file that you need to upload to Suzuki to get the correct version of your update.
