None of those were even close, the Guy used the stock shifter, and no he didn't just cut it either he straightened it or something but I can't quite remember

OK well I did some research and now im wondering how long is the actual shift lever as I know it has another rod crimped over it, and can it be threaded for a shift knob

 

I don't remember seeing that but the shifter is in two parts and is bonded together with a black rubber type compound, presumably to reduce vibration.

I've no idea how long it is, I've never had one apart. A chap I knew a while back got one too hot when welding in an extension and it fell apart -he stuck it back together with mastic.
