MAF Sensor Cleaned and Now.....

I have a 96 1.6 Tracker 4x4 5 spd.....

Had poor idle and some times it would die. It would re-start right away...

Got to reading about why..... Replaced the Air Cleaner and cleaned the Mass Air Flow Sensor with CRC Cleaner and everything went well until.....

Started and Service Engine Soon light came on.... Drove it a little and started and stopped it several times.......

Will it eventually go off? After a few drives......

Well, what code are you getting from the CEL??? It may be something entirely unrelated.....

It is a good investment, particularly if you plan on keeping the car. In the meantime, Autozone or similar should be able to read the code for you. Hopefully you got a scanner, rather than a code reader, by the way - there would have been plenty of recommendations on the forum about a good, inexpensive one to get.
