dealer only usually. You can buy fobs online but making sure the coding is the same as the vehicle is the issue.

If you have a mechanical lock on the drivers door then there should also be a key that is part of the fob.

get the dealer to reprogram it to remove the missing fob as well for security reasons, last thing you need is an active fob out therte that can access your car.

Keep chasing the previous owner if you can.

 

Autel and Launch both have scanners that can add and delete fobs...

You should look for an independent shop, they may be less $$$...

As an update, I finally managed to get in touch with the previous owner, he said he sold the car to a dealer with both keys... but it's a different dealer to the one I bought the car from, so it seems that the second fob went missing between the two dealers at sone point.

 

all the more reason when you do get a new one to get the others removed from the security modules memory.

 

If anyone is interested... that's the quote from the dealer:

Key fob - £103.18+VAT
Key blade - £87+VAT
Programming - £45+VAT

Could be worse... I'll get one ordered.

 

Just had the new spare keyless fob programmed to the car by Jem Suzuki in Colindale (North West London).

Not a cheap exercise I must say, but on the plus side - it works perfectly.
