Seeking if anyone has had this issue and any advice on what might be the problem/solution.

Immobilizer Light stays on solid.
Car Will not start.

Using various diagnostic tools have zero DTC codes.
Using key programming tools. IMMI unit detects keys, allows keys to be cleared and reprogramed.

Car still does not start. It is like the signal to allow starting is getting lost.

Immi unit is detecting transponder but the ECU is not allowing start condition.

Problem arose after a flat battery. All batteries have been replaced.

What you are describing here does not come across as an immobilizer related issue - immobilizer related issues will usually have flashing lights AND DTC codes.

When you say "immobilizer light stays on solid" - describe the light - is it an orange light that looks like a car combined with a padlock, or is it a blue or a red key?

The solid orange light essentially says the immobilizer is present & working, the blue & red keys have different significances, and are only present if the car is equipped with keyless start - does you car have keyless start?

When you say "car will not start" - tell us what is happening/not happening - is this a "no crank" situation or a "crank, no start situation"?

Thankyou for your response. it is the Orange Light. Car does not have keyless start. The orange light should go out once the transponder is detected and the car tries to start. This is not happening even though the system is detecting the transponder. The car cranks but does not start. Which indicates that the immobiliser is working correctly. But it shouldn’t be stopping the starting because I have the correct keys. This is why there are no codes in the system. This is my best guess anyway.

You need to confirm that the transponder ring is work correctly and the keys are coded into the immob module..

Place the key into the ignition turn and leave in the run position (do not attempt start), leave for about 30min, if the Immob light does not extinguish you will need to consult a diagnostician who has appropriate tools.

I can confirm the keys are working correctly. I have had an automotive locksmith with multiple tools check this. The car recognises the keys, allows them to be cleared and reprogrammed. But it doesn’t allow starting. It’s like it’s saying hey I have the right keys but that signal is getting lost between the ICM and the ECM/BCM but isn’t giving any DTC codes. Possibly because the ICM is doing its job and the ECM/BCM isn’t expecting a signal.

Just so it's clear, the text below is from the FSM from a JB420, the 2.0 liter model, not the 2.4 that you have, that said I don't think the immobilizer on your model works differently.

Based on what you are telling us the light comes on and does not flash, this is an indication that "No trouble exists in the immobilizer control system".

Below are the diagnostic steps, as before this is from the JB420 FSM - you would exit this flow at Step 3 No, which directs you to "Perform Engine and Emission Control System Check in Section 1A”.

You'll find the "Perform Engine and Emission Control System Check in Section 1A” flow chart in the attached PDF, it's essentially the basic troubleshooting steps for any EFI engine, check fuel, check spark, etc.

Going back to your "start signal is getting lost" idea - all communication between the immobilizer and the ECU is via the CANBus, which is essentially a "data network link" between two computers - if the ECU cannot communicate with the immobilizer, you will get a flashing light and a DTC, if the immobilizer sends a message that the ECU does not understand you will get a flashing light and a DTC, if the immobilizer has some sort of a logic failure and loses it's mind, you will get a flashing light and a DTC.

As I said earlier, the symptoms you are reporting do not suggest an immobilizer related issue.

Thankyou for your help. I have already checked these things as I have the same manual.

Just so everything is clear.

Vehicle cranks but fails to start.
Has compression.
Has fuel pressure and delivery to the injectors.
Has spark.

This issue arose from a flat battery.
Vehicle has a new battery.
Keys have new batteries.
New spark plugs.
Fresh new fuel.
Does not give any codes on Suzuki Scan Tool.
I am posting here because I dont know what else to try.

The immobilizer on a Suzuki disables injection & ignition, since you have spark, this is not an immobilizer issue.

You say it has fuel pressure and delivery to the injectors, but you haven't told us if it's actually injecting fuel - do you have enough fuel pressure to the injectors (if the pressure is too low they will not open), and are the injectors being driven by the ECU?

If it cranks, has fuel, compression and spark, its not an immobiliser issue

Blocked exhaust? Does it give any indication if you spray start ya bastard down the air cleaner intake?
