If you must remove this, do not forget to torque the center bolt properly when you are replacing it. Torque is 94 ft/lbs. By the way, no need to remove the center bolt on the pulley if you are doing the timing belt....???
yes, a couple taps with a hammer and it fell on the floor. I assumed I needed a puller. The elastomer was so bad in the harmonic balancer that the pulley walked towards the rear of the engine destroying the timing cover and wearing a quarter inch off the width of the timing belt. what we thought were squealing belts was actually the harmonic balancer elastomer squealing.
