pre 2003 XL-7 workshop manual download.

See how you go with this (the website they're on is a PITA)

1. Download the file "top.pdf" and place it into a new folder of your choice (eg. name the folder "XL7".)

2. Create a folder named "Data" within the the "XL7" folder.

3. Download the remaining file groups to the "Data" folder. Each group of files must be put into the "Data" folder within a new sub folder labeled with the same folder name as is used on the download website.

4. Once all the files are downloaded they can be accessed via the "top.pdf" file. Open that file and then select the XL-7 option. That should then take you to a menu that lists all the pdf documents applicable for the XL-7. Then click on whatever section you want.

EDIT: All files for SQ series and XL-7 pre 2003 are now available. But in English only....

The downloads are all located here. ALL the folders need to be downloaded:

mondeost24 - eSnips Profile

Click on the links for each section above. When the page opens scroll down the page to the "Files" section. Click on each file to begin the download process. Another page will open and give a preview of the document - click on the "download" option directly beneath the document preview and the file download will then begin.

With absolutly no disrespect to the efforts of others ;) but this has got to be one of the most painful downloads that I have ever experienced !

Followed instructions from top to bottom of this thread and nothing has worked. The data is there (I think), but the linkage from top to file is weak... at best. The Zip download appears broken (during the unzip, multiple messages about not being able to create a "path"). Sample of error:

! Cannot create Suzuki XL7\Data\99500_68D00_01E \Sq420wd.pdf
The system cannot find the path specified.

Well I love a challenge, I would rather turn wrenches then tweak file extensions

I do plenty of downloading... funny I even found a torrent download for a Russian XL7 manual .... might be easier to just learn to speak Russian?

Again.... no offence to those making the effort! Like they say, "there is no such thing as idiot proof.... there will always be a better idiot! "

Cheers

David,

Yup, used the zip download. Unzipping , something is wrong with file association (as noted in my post)... and yes I could just buy a manual ;)... or my online All Data.com ? mind you there is something nice about curling up with a good book?

If you could, please download your zipped manual from the link and test the "unzip". If you want I could give you the full list of suspect file associations?

Cheers

Just a bit of an update. Don't know if anybody else had trouble with the zip download missing some files but after running the unzip again I noted the missing files/information, found that the sub-directories where intact so I tracked down copies of the missing files from the initial source (the down load link at the top of this thread) and pasted them into the directories (I was bored and nothing else to do ;) a shizzam... It works!

Curious about one thing tho... what is a good source to acquire actual part numbers?

Thanks

Martin

If you're a torrent user - google Suzuki WWEPC - you should find a few hits that will get you a pirate copy of the WorldWide Electronics Parts Catalog - it'll probably be a couple of years out of date, but, still very usefull.

Service manuals, anyone?

So the eSnips site has been down for over a year apparently, judging by the comments on their facebook page. I got a few of the files in February of last year (2011), when the site was still operational, but not all of them.

Just tried downloading the service manuals, and got a virus instead. Is there any hope of sharing the manuals some other way?

XL-7 and GV owners don't have other options in terms of service literature it seems. Looks like the internet is not as free as it once was...:(

Is there another download site for the XL7 service manual?

Did this manual ever get loaded somewhere else that is accessible? I can see the list of files from the original link but it will not allow me to download anything. Is the manual located somewhere else now?

No. It is the 2008 with 4L V6. My lift gate stopped working and wanted a shop manual for that. Also the hubs have been replaced twice by the dealer and now that it is out of warranty they are failing yet again! So I am trying to find a repair manual.

I don't seem to be the only one having issues downloading this file. Not sure what/where the downloads are? I clicked on what appeared to be the download, which was: mondeost24 - eSnips Profile. That took me nowhere. I typed in pita.com with no luck as well as top.pdf which brought up a long list. Can someone please tell me where to find these downloads? Thanks in advance

Does anyone have an updated link for this? I could really use it. Please and thank you

Anyone out there still have the manual for the 2002 xl-7? I've been needing it recently and am in a bit of a time crunch. If anyone needs a new file hosting site Mega.co.nz is megaupload's successor and I believe it has a file limit of up to 50 GB.

I too have been looking for that. All the old links are dead.:(

The good news is the Grand Vitara with the H25 engine looks identical to the XL-7 H27 engine.
Most everything is in the same place with the same wiring.

The XL-7 H27 engine is on the right.

The link from MAX will get you most of the way there:
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/cvrt1rfoso8t8/Service_Manuals
Download both files 1 of 2 and 2 of 2.

Here is an additional link for the wiring system:
http://www.acksfaq.com/pdfs/FSMWiringManualGV-XL-7.pdf

Hope that helps
