Bought a new SX4 Crossover w/Tech today.
I've been configuring the Garmin 1690 GPS.
The GPS install is supposed to include one map update "within 60 days of turn on". I tried to update the map from the Garmin website, but was told there is "not enough room in the 1690 memory" to install the latest version of the North America map. Even when I deleted photos, etc, from 1690 memory (as suggested), there was still not enough room. The Garmin webpage then suggested loading only either the Eastern or Western half of the USA! Is this a known problem? Solution?
Also, there's confusion about whether the Traffic Camera App can be loaded onto the 1690. One page says Yes. Another Garmin webpage says Traffic Camera App is "not available for the 1690". Which is right?
Lastly, I can't get NuLink! to work, even though I have "Registered" this 1690 on the my.garmin.com website.
