Hello

How/when are the front fog lights on a 2017 SZ5 hybrid meant to come on?
Light switch is turned to either sidelights or headlights, it's not on auto, and the I can see the green warning light on the dash but the lights don't come on. I've tried it with the engine running and doesn't seem to make any difference.

I've had the cover off the under bonnet fuse box and there's power both sides of the 15A fuse that is marked as being for the front fog lights. If I pull the relay out that's marked for the front fog lights there is power to one side of the connection block which ties in to the large spade terminal for the relay, which I take it is the supply to the relay to be switched to power the lights, but nothing to either of the smaller connections which I take it are the relay signal connections to switch the relay. I could bridge the the large connectors, to see if the fog lights come on, but don't want to screw anything up if there are bulb failure warning sensors or anything like that.

EDIT So I thought I'd double check the relay operation and I can hear it clicking when operating the fog light switch. I've not had anything to do with cars of this age most of my auto electrical is from straight wired circuits without much being controlled by ECUs etc. If when I pulled the relay would the circuit of sensed that it was now an open circuit and not put power to the control terminals? Didn't see any additional warning lights on the dash.
Anyway I'll go back to basics and check the actual fog light bulbs in the morning. I guess both could have blown...

Any thoughts as to where to look next or am I missing something fundamental with the controls that means the lights aren't going to come on because I haven't switched something else? Had a look in the handbook and what I am doing should turn them on based on what I've read. Confused as I can see the green warning light on the dash so to me that means the lights should be coming on? Rear fog light, and all the other lights, work without a problem.

Thanks

Someone's been in behind the bumper and left them unplugged?

The front fog light button is to the right of the steering wheel on a UK car just checked. The twist of the stalk just operates the rear. View attachment 123789
What year is that? Switch gear looks to be the earlier model Ignis, well nothing like what is fitted to my SZ5?
Mines a 2017 and front and rear fog lights are both switched using the left hand column stalk.
As commented elsewhere all now sorted (y)
