Is there a way to dissable the start/stop permanently? I have no doubt that the start/stop system is friendly for the environment. But I doubt that it's friendly for the engine and for the battery.
I have read the functions of engine starting and electrical generation have been combined to be done by the one unit which saves space and weight.it uses a different starter motor. Why is that?
hello, can you indicate exactly what scanner removes SS. Thank youFYI, there are a number of high end scanners that have to option of turning OFF the S/S function..
It's you that made the claim that certain scanners could be used tio turn off stop / start. Usual off the cuff remark, absolutely no foundation to the claim made.Contact XTool, ask them if Suzuki is compliant..
As forums go, this one is excellent. In the short time I've owned an Ignis, I've gleaned loads of information from the forum. Like some other forums, theres always someone who feeds miss-information and makes claims that are not substantiated. Usually the individual has never owned, seen or worked on an Ignis model in question yet is intent on a pretence. Why do you do it I wonder?I can do it for my market area, yours may differ...
Now you’re starting to sound a little silly. Just redeem yourself by being open about the scanner that’s needed and the methodology you use to disable the stop / start. If you would like to cover the cost of my travel and accommodation to the UK, I would bring my scanner and substantiate, all depending on the market module configuration.. My UK passport is current.
You obviously do not understand the intricacies of suppliers making systems for particular world zones.. no ALL Ingis models are common around the globe (other than the Name), what may be available in one zone may not be in another.
I attached ONE magnet a little smaller than that one in the picture in the same place, in my Celerio, and it made zero difference. The damn stop start still worksI personally tried to attach a neodymium magnet to the sensor at the minus pole of the battery.
The sensor evaluates this as a low battery and disables Stop/Start.
But be careful - the battery is permanently charged with a voltage of 14.4 V and does not work with the help of a hybrid drive.

Have you tried attaching more? The idea here is that the magnetic field from the magnets prevents the sensor from detecting the current flow on the battery negative, if the magnets are too small, not enough, not strong enough, it may not work.I attached ONE magnet a little smaller than that one in the picture in the same place, in my Celerio, and it made zero difference. I put the magnet today on my ignis 2022. And problem is solved....so,... I mounted three tiny neodymium-magnets on that plastic thing at the minus-pol of the battery.
Start-Stop is gone!
No warning lights in the cockpit.
I drove now 100km and no side effects so far.
