Accessing the interior fusebox

No power is getting through to my wing mirrors (both are manual folding but the driver's side is heated). It is possibly a blown fuse. I am therefore starting a new post to determine where my wing mirror motor fuses might be. As a starter I want to investigate the interior fusebox under the dashboard to the right of the steering wheel. Very difficult to access it though. Attached is an image. I used a circular mirror lit by a torch. The only way I think I can access it is to unscrew the bolt. It has a shiny appearance to the right of the bonnet release cable. The question is, is the right way to access the fuses?

No need to remove the junction box to access the fuses. Even if you remove that bolt (there's another one at the top aswell) the junction box will barely move until you disconnect all the multi plugs.
The fuses should be accessible via a clip on cover on the front of the junction box.
You will need a fuse puller which is probably stored in the lid of the under bonnet fuse box.

...I won't be able to bend my body and head ...
yes you need to be a contorsionist. I think I did it by sitting on my back on the driver seat (LHD), feet over the back of the seat towards the rear....anyway....

I've never taken a close look at the SX4, but most Suzukis with a fuse box under the dash have a removable panel under the steering wheel that allows easier access to the fuse box - I believe one of the screws securing that panel is visible in your picture.

Being older and less flexible myself, I can't promise that removing the panel will allow you to do the job yourself, but, it should certainly make it easier.

they are colour coded, sized and sexed appropriately, its pretty much impossible to plug them into the wrong holes. They are all loomed up so they will usually stay pretty much lined up when removed too.

I have blown a total of 2 fuses in all my years of owning vehicles. 1 was my fault. I was a tail lamp failure
While you can argue "serviceability " the fuse in my opinion, is way down the list as they should never fail unless there's a fault.
