Hello,

My SS is running rich causing misfires at idle and strong smell of gasoline. This issue is not constant from time it come back to normal.

The car has new coils, sparks, maf sensor, fuel pump ( only the motor part not full assembly).

O2 sensors show normal activity also maf readings seen on check

When the issue is active the short trims come from -15 to -20 producing rough idle an losse of power while driving.

My SS is catless had headers installed so clogged pipe is not an issue

Also I noticed a consumption of oil but no that high to see white or blue smoke.

Good morning, how are you with the compression in the cylinders??? how many kilometers do you have??? Is the throttle body clean and functionally correct??? I want the readings of the air meter for the time you have Malfunction in no-load operation.... Give it to me so I can give it to you.... be well, I am George, an engineer from Corinth, Greece.

Today I check the evap sistem there was a bit of gas on the canister evap. The purge valve was malfunctioning because of this now is dry. I replace the purge valve an seems to work better but the hesitation come from time to time. Should I replace the canister too?

This issue come after a fill up think the guy at the gas station top the gas tank to much he did it manually usually I fill until the first click of the pump.

Last update: after checking all systems where working correctly I noticed a clogged evap purge valve again. So I suspect the evap canister is throwing charcoal particles to the valve. I remove the charcoal and blow compressed air in the tank port. Several carbon come out of it. I did couple times until only air come out of it.

Now the readings has you can see in the video is running little lean like it's soposued in this engine.

I planning to purchase a new evap canister in the future but at least I found the root of the problem
