Code 12 means no fault found rather than no fault, the checks are quite limited and restricted to a few emission components so they are often of little help.
The FSM supplement for EFI models is here:

http://www.rhinoman.org/manuals/Samurai/Samurai_EFi_supplement.pdf

you will need to work through the diagnostics. 29.4 ohms is close enough for the ISC, you just need to check that air passes through it when its open and doesn't when its closed.

Thanks Rhinoman but I've thrown in the towel, lol. The vehicle threw me a check engine light today, and it's going to the mechanic's garage tomorrow. It's time to let someone who knows what they're actually doing take a crack at it.

I will, of course, update the forum as to what they find out and what needed to be fixed.

Back again folks! So happy to report that the idling issue has been resolved by my mechanic. What was the problem? Or should I say, problems?

Well, for one thing it had a bad water temp sensor. Secondly, my FPR was dumping more fuel than it should. The mechanic replaced both and my idle is nice and smooth now, and life is good, haha.

Almost forgot...I even got back some fuel economy.

Thanks to everyone who chimed in trying to help.

Thought I would also share that I passed smog with flying colors this morning, and in measuring my fuel economy it seems I am now getting around 24-26 mpg mixed driving. And this is with 31" BFG tires.
