What software is used to code Suzuki cars?
I am looking to disable the 120 speed chime.

 

Factory specific, the chime is usually coded in the bcm firmware depending on vehicle model, then transmitted to the dash ecm via can bus if its post about 2005 vintage
Some have it hard coded in the dash unit. Depends on model and market

 

I have a 2023 Baleno and I coded BMW in the past and was thinking this is also possible to code the chime on the Baleno.
Is there any open-sourced Diagnostics software?

 

Only read and limited bi directional software im not aware of any for coding suzuki bcm or dash units
If you find anything let us know, its bad enough having to use a higher end scan tool to code a new module to a car.

The only documentation for the 2023 models is via a Suzuki service portal. I haven't seen any eeprom information at all, only the overall module wiring
The overspend chime will be firmware based, so until someone hacks the ecm.......and probably the bcm as well......

 

I was told by Suzuki that it is not a software reprogramming fix, so I believe the only alternative is EEPROM programming.

If you haven't yet realized that these are not two different things, then you're in way over your head - essentially what Suzuki is telling you is not that it is not a software reprogramming fix, but rather, they have no intention of reprogramming it to remove the chime.

Suzuki will not make the internal details of the ECU available to the public, as far as Suzuki is concerned, if there is a problem internal to the ECU, you're going to be replacing it, not repairing it, and the wiring manual won't be of much help in this regard. I don't see Suzuki releasing the EEPROM contents to you, so you're going to need to get your hands on an ECU, that you're willing to sacrifice, possibly unsolder the EEPROM, dump the contents & reverse engineer it.

In a nutshell, the "viability" of a project of this nature lies solely with the abilities of the individual(s) attempting it.

You have hijacked a 14 yr old thread, much has changed in the mean time..

You would need a good bi-directional scanner capable of accessing the factory resets. probably less expensive to see dealer or local diagnostician (not mechanic)

Have a look at Rhinoman's stuff, he's done quite a bit of work reverse engineering the older Suzuki stuff, I have no idea if he's up to speed on the newer ones.
