I seem to remember when the last new battery was fitted approx 5 years ago to my 2016 model it had to be a specific size for length and height. I now need another one and can anyone tell me what the correct dimensions are in metric, the most important one being height, is it 175 or 190 mm. The last time the mechanic couldn't shut the bonnet but eventually found a battery to fit. Secondly can I just remove the old battery and install the new one, just like the old days?

Good morning, what could be simpler, you take out the old one and put in the same one.... We first remove the negative and With the ,We place the positive first.... So simple

Thanks for responding George and think I can possibly manage to do that. Perhaps you can advise if anything toward happens when the vehicle is totally devoid of power when the battery is removed until the new one is connected. For example does it dump any programming like sat nav, radio, stop start, lights, windows aircon etc. If it does I assume that I would have to take it to a Suzuki dealer for rectification????????
