towing confusion

I still haven't got my GV yet

, should be here by end of the week. Anyway I was reading somewhere about the 4-mode and that you should switch to 'N' mode when towing to save wear on the transmition from the increased load. Now I would have thought the 'N' stood for Neutral, meaning like on all the other 4wd's I've owned, that it disengages ALL drives. I'm obviously way out of touch with new ones if this is the case. Can any of you guys please explain? Thanks.

Motorhome

The 'N' refers to when you tow a GV behind another vehicle like a Motorhome.

JST,

The N on the 4 mode is neutral on the transfer case. You can flat tow your GV behind a motor home in the N mode.

The N mode disconnects the transfer from the transmission, but the drive shafts and prop shafts are still turning.

Yeah, N if you are towing your GV, not if you are towing with your GV.
