Suzuki Swift Part Number Confusion Needing Help

Hello all,

I am planning to replace all radiator hoses of my 2006 RS413 1.3 4x4 Manual Transmission Swift (ZD11S Japanese version) as a preventative maintenance.

I have already checked part numbers at Catcar.info and Partsouq websites and found out that
upper rad. hose 17852-63J00
lower rad. hose 17854-63J00
hose heater inlet 17871-63J00
hose heater outlet 17872-63J01

However I asked to three different Suzuki dealers and all of them told that these part numbers are not available and
17852-62J00 , 17854-62J00 , 17871-62J00 and 17872-62J01 were available.

As I researched these part numbers from Catcar.info website and matched them by entering my car details as Magyar version instead of Japanese version however my Swift is Japanese version.

When I checked aftermarket version of only upper rad hose I noticed that Gates recommends both part numbers ending with 63J00 and 62J00.

In this case should I go forward and order the parts ending with 62J00 instead of 63J00 ?

I am not sure if parts are same though.

Look forward for your opinions.

Thanks in advance.

Most of the catalogs do not deal with the Japanese versions of these cars, so it’s difficult to get info. Megazip may be your best bet with this, as they are located in Japan. Try here: www.megazip.net

Thank you I just checked. Megazip is same with Catcar.info and Partsouq websites and recommend those hoses part numbers ending with 63J00. The authorised dealers online system also recommends 63J00 but the lady told that 63J00 was ended and 62J00 is now recommended.

When I googled both part numbers they look same as I see. Ofcourse it is possible to get wrong by looking at picture but...

I also checked aftermarket GATES hose and it is recommended for both 63J00 and 62j00 ending Suzuki parts.
Also most aftermarket radiators come with both 62J00 and 63j00 ending part numbers.

I also asked one of those hoses part number to a Suzuki dealership in the UK although I am living outside UK. They also recommended me the part number ending with 62J01.

As I told before when I choose car specs instead of writing chassis and choose my car wrong (As Hungary version) instead of jaPan version I always find part numbers ending with 62J00.

So can we tell that they will fit?

I just put in each of the part numbers that you list (63J00, 63J01), and each of them are available at either Megazip, or the UAE warehouse (the UAE warehouse being about 1/3 the price). So they are available.

Thanks for the options. Did you have any experience with Megazip ? Do they sell all genuine parts or have you heard any fake part reviews? I found GATES 05-1948 and GATES 05-5282 for an alternative for the hoses 17852-63J00 and 17854-63J00. However GATES 05-5282 also confuses with 05-1949 as some sites recommend that. Autodoc has only 05-5282 for that part and 05-1948 for the other. I am not sure if the lenght fittment and quality will be same with Oem though.

I have used Megazip quite a few times, and they are extremely reputable. Their website also indicates that the UAE warehouse has your hoses. The parts are not aftermarket.

Thank you. Have you had experience with genuine Suzuki radiator hoses from Megazip?

Only reason I am considering Gates brand is that I can buy from a place that I dealed before and was happy with purchase. I will ask my friend to bring parts for me from Europe so I have chance only to try once. That is why I was thinking to get Gates (at least I know that it will be genuine product) rather than Megazip as the prices are questionable comparing with Suzuki service here.

Secondly, should I rely on the part numbers that I find from Partsouq and Catcar.info websites which end with 63J00?

Personally, I would rely more on part numbers that I get from Megazip, although I have used ssg.asia and others here have used Partsouq and Carcar for factory part numbers as well. All of my car parts must be done over the internet and by mail, so I try to be really vigilant to make sure that what I am ordering is correct….so much so that I might go to more than one catalog to confirm the number. But normally I wouldn’t feel the need to ‘check’ on Megazip. That being said, there are some things that I won’t use aftermarket parts for…for example, the clutch cable, which is advertised in different lengths by different aftermarket suppliers. For hoses, as long as you’re sure that it’s the correct part, I would go with an aftermarket supplier. But I would want to be sure, as, at least for me, waiting for an aftermarket part, receiving it, and then realizing that it doesn’t fit, is something I try to avoid.
