Hi, I'm new here. I don't really know how the rules work, but I need help. I have a Suzuki Swift 92 1.3 that turns off while driving. I've already changed spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, belt, battery, but it runs for a km and turns off out of nowhere, and sometimes it doesn't start until after a few hours.

Welcome to the forum. I’ve moved your thread to the Swift side of the forum. Are you fuel injected?? Is your check engine light on at all times, and if so, are you able to get codes from the computer??
When the engine shuts down, are you able to start the engine again by spraying starter fluid into the intake? If the engine starts that way, it wold indicate that your issue is with fuel delivery. Or when the engine stops and won’t start again, have you tested to see if you have spark??

Hello, yes it does spark, I haven't tested the fluid in the collector yet. The car is parked and everything is fine, but when it idles it doesn't heat up, I noticed that the throttle is always open, could it have something to do with it? I forgot to mention the fuel pump is also new.

Hello, I don't understand anything about cars, but I know that the one I have doesn't have a fuel filter. I really need help because the mechanic has already taken a lot of money and can't fix it. What I know is that he's right when idling and then turning off. What I noticed is that the throttle is always open. Is this normal?

Good morning, What's wrong with the fuel filter??? Has it been changed recently???? Is it clogged??? .my experience tells me that something is NOT right with the fuel flow..... I want you to try for Spark the moment it goes out... also at that moment, do you have fuel supply??? Of course you can do these things.... try it and we'll say it again... Bom dia. [/CITAR]The car does not have a fuel filter. It comes out of the tank into a kind of cup and comes to the front of the car. The pump is new. The tank was cleaned. I don't see anything wrong, except if it's something electrical. I really don't know.

I insist and tell you that in this particular model there is a fuel filter, behind and slightly in front of the right wheel...... I have changed it in thousands of such cars.Anyway, the moment you stay, your mechanic must come to where you are.He knows what to do. ......This is how we operate here....... and anyway, if the problem is NOT solved, we don't get any money.... do what I write to you and we'll talk again...

The photo in post #7 shows that you have a carburetor engine, and not fuel injected. Do you have a vehcile ID number (VIN) in your country?? If you do, put the number into the box in the link here, and it will bring up the parts catalog for your car. It appears that some of the older Swifts do not have a fuel filter, but you will be able to confirm this by looking at the ‘fuel’ area in the parts catalog.
In the meantime, when your car does not start, take off the air filter Ithe big, round metal filter in the center of your photo) and spray starter fluid into the carburetor that you will see underneath. Will the engine start that way?
If not, then remove a spark plug, put it back into the lead that it normally is attached to, and lay it on a metal part of the car (like the fuel filter. Have someone crank the car and see if you can see the spark at the end of the spark plug. Do not touch the plug while you are doing this. You need to confirm whether you have a problem with spark or fuel, which is why the car will not start or run.

[/CITAR]It has a spark, it starts well, it has a new pump, after driving a kilometer it turns off, leaving the battery light on, it doesn't matter if you're driving fast or slow, I went for inspection and it passed without anything, there is no error light.

You are advising that you believe that the issue is because fuel is not reaching the carburetor. Did you have this same problem with your old fuel pump as well, and that’s the reason why you put in a new fuel pump? If that’s the case, and the issue is fuel (which you could confirm by starting your car up again, when it will not start, with starter fluid), then there is either some obstruction in the fuel pipes, or, more probably, and electrical issue in wiring that is causing the fuel pump to stop pumping.
