Steering Wheel clicking noise

I have a 2022 Suzuki Swift 1.2 GA. It is making a clicking noise when I turn the steering wheel. It does not matter which way I turn it. Suzuki dealer says it needs a new Clock Spring but this is expensive. The horn still works and the air-bag light remains off so connection appears to be still in place. Can it be that the clock spring just needs to be re-aligned rather than replaced?

i would definitely appeal for warranty! i know most suzuki branches are a nightmare with that stuff. if not, you could try re-centering it before replacing it. just pull the wheel, reset the clock spring to neutral, and put it back. if that doesn’t fix the clicking, it’s probably worn out and needs replacing.
