Remote locking problem - Suzuki Celerio

2019 Celerio SZ3 Dualjet, recently purchased & unfortunately has only one key.

This model has remote central locking triggered from the key buttons, it was working perfectly when I bought the car, recently started playing up, as in sometimes not workingfrom the remote, has now stopped working entirely, I assumed it would be the key battery, on checking it was around 3 volts, so, a little low, but far from flat, replaced with a new Duracell 1616 showing over 3.2V, but still not working from the remote.

The locks work perfectly using the key in the door or from the control button on the drivers door

Any suggestions as to a likely fault or solution?

I found a thread explaining how to reset the key, talks about ign. on then off, opening & closing drivers door 3 times etc. (triggers int, light switch) but when I get to the point where the locks should then cycle that doesn't happen

I'd been hoping to get a replacement key through Timpson's who say they can do it, but presumably if not working from the current remote they aren't going to be able to clone a new remote?

Thanks for the input, I'd have thought it unl;ikely as wouldn't have expected it to become intermittent first, unlikely to be poor connections on a 2019 car with just 24k on the clock, but I'll double check to be sure. Does anyone know where the receiver is actually located so I could check connections to that?
