P1674 Fault Code

Hi,
I've just bought my Gfs mums low mileage Swift. 06 plate. It was running great and still is but I have just had the fault code P1674 appear. Engine management light came on but then dissappeared the next time I started the car. I've tried to clear the fault using Torque but it won't clear.

I can't find any info on what this code means. EML is off now but I'm worried it'll come back on again. Gfs mum said she had same problem 2 years ago but fault was cleared after garage couldn't find a problem.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

That code indicates there is an issue on the CAN network (intermittent in you case), You would need the services of a scope to monitor/track down the issue...

If you dont have the skill or equipment, you need a diagnostician, not a mechanic..

Hi,
Hopefully it won't come back until after MOT. Didn't cost me a lot in the grand scheme of things so may just scrap the damn thing rather than spend loads of money on it.

I dont see this as a money pit, just needs some TLC to fix..
