The sound in the video is at idle.

Im pretty sure it is the timingchain and/or tensioner. The sound gets much easier to locate when i remove the oilcap.

I think i will do timingbeltkit job. Like this one. They are pretty cheap if you compare to the damage a broken chain can do.

Did any one work out what the engine noise was?

If that was a diesel, I'd say a squeaky injector - do petrol injectors ever squeak? I've never done anything with a modern petrol engine.
