Hello,
I want to lift my 2016 Vitara. Currently I think there is a 1 inch lift on the market and I was just wondering what are some possible complications if any of lifting my vehicle. Also I would like to ask what are some possible suggestions if any to lift it beyond 1 inch. Thanks!

Hi,

Did you end up lifting it?

The only kit I've found online is a 20mm spring lift from Eibach. Has anyone used this?

Does anyone one know if with this lift kit a slightly larger tyre can be fitted?

From the stock 215/55R17 I was hoping to go for either:
225/55R17 (diameter increase of 0.4" (10 mm) or
215/60R17 (diameter increase of 0.9" (23 mm) or else on a 16" rim
235/60R16 - increase diameter by 0.8" (20 mm)

With the taller tyre sizes I'd hope to gain say 25 - 30mm extra clearance (which I'll reduce again with bump guards! :p)

My main aim is to increase ground clearance to access some trails, not full-on off-roading but more than just gravel / rough surface.

Thanks!

2016 grand vitara suspension troubles

Hello in house experts

I own a 3 door grand vitara 2016 stock, i live in the middle east and i intend to be going off road more regular in the upcoming winter days. The trouble here is i am a newbie to offroading.
I had driven on an off road terrain the other day after which i went for my regular 10k service. The agent said i had to change my suspension bushes as they had been worn off and a suzuki stock was expensive. Since they got worn off on a single visit off road and a few pavement crossings i dont think i should invest in them .

I would appreciate any advice for a newbie who intends to drive on desert sands and very bumpy rocky paths.

I have learnt that reducing the air pressure to 15 psi was a way more smoother ride on this rocky terrain. Experience has taught me the best way, cant afford to learn on mistakes every time so an insight from the experts on this forum will be treasured. Thanks in advance for your time.

Hi WILDMALTA!

Did you go through with your lift?

I am planning on making the exact same thin on mine!
Just purchased a spacers lift kit 30mm. Was also thinking of purchasing the exact same Springs from Eibach as you mentioned.

Cant believe there isnt a lot of interest in lifting these new vitaras. I love mine!

Will update once i get and install the spacers.
Would love to see some photos of the modifications you are making to your vitara!

How much of a lift did it give you and what parts did you have to swap/general hassle levels?! Nice looking truck you've got.. what size wheels and tyres are you running?

Hi Arjiba - did you fit the spacers?

I never got down to deciding on the springs. TBH I was hoping some of the usual aftermarket companies would offer kits but now the vitara has been out almost 3 years and still nothing.

I did come across Gollek in Germany who promise a 50mm lift between spring & spacers. Have contacted them and waiting for an answer.

I found this pic on Instagram - looks amazing though I'd prefer less aggressive rims.

Hey Wildmalta!!
I did lift my vitara. Got the lift kit from tema4x4 at ebay. Pretty cheap and its 30mm. I got bigger tyres too so complete lift of 50mm.
You will notice the height difference immediately!! And driving sensation is IMO exaclty the same.
I had seen both the Gollek and the Instagram picture. Sadly that Instagram picture is photoshopped, but it looks great!! Would love to do exactly that modification to mine but there are no higher lifts in the market.
Attaching some photos of my zuk next to another stock zuk. And a ultra-filtered photo haha
Also installed hood mounted LED pods.
(Had to design and fabricate the mount myself)
Good luck with your lift!!

Your car looks wonderful!

I have some questions for you :D

I plan to do the same as you did with my Vitara 1.4S Allgrip.

Was the quality of the lift kit OK and was it easy to mount?

What size and brand of tires do you have?

Have looked at 225/65r17 but I'm a bit unsure if it will work?
