Been on the look out for just the right sized brolly to fit into this area of the dash.

Wife found one today.

Not sure if this is what this feature has always been for but I certainly thought it was suitable for a small umbrella when we first got the car.

It mostly seems to be a storage place for quick leaving pens,pencils some small items, ....and even thought: yes an umbrella!
It has an antislip surface material and is very useful - at least for me/wife.

Even it can grab a smartphone and it stays there - not dropping.

Anything I put in there falls out - haven't tried a brolley - one lives in the driver's door pocket and the others are in the boot.
