My wife bought this for me from a local. It is not running yet, but will be soon. She bought it because I've been wanting one to build as an STS Solo car to chase down the Civics, even though 2 people have told me it has been done and doesn't work. . . we'll see. :D

Picked up my Hawk's weds night for my current DD/racer (Hyundai Elantra). . . plans may change a little it. They offered to cornerweight the car and order a set of "prototype" springs for the car for ~$200. THat's almost less than buying off the shelf H&R's for me from work. SWEET! I love this club (SCCA).

Last night, after making backups for the wife's CD collection for school I worked a little on the super faded paint on the swiffer. Tell me what you think. . . it's just a coat of turtle wax.

OK, before :

Lotta work under hood to do though. . .

Sorry for the darkness of the photos.. . the truck is still in the garage and I didn't feel like putting pants on to pull it out.

It looks like most of the car still has decent paint underneath all the crap. The hood. . .not so much. It's got enough chips, dings and everything else there's not much hope for it.

I'm still torn, do I put money into it to look good or leave it as is? I hate rolling around in a shitball of a car, but I don't want to sink a ton of unneeded money into this project either.

Here's last sunday's work:

Right now the 16's rub the tire, but a 225/45 tire on this little car is a wee bit large. . .ok, quite a bit large. The wheels/tires (16"S) are off my Current auto-x'er a 2002 Hyundai Elantra. It, being 2800lbs sans driver, needs a tire that large.

The 14's don't rub. they are what came with the car and will be sold as soon as the season is over for me.
