Front end on 2008 XL7 has been making a bumping noise when you hit bumps and my tire shop says the lower control arm bushings are shot.

Does anyone have a part number for the lower control arms? Also does anyone know if the chevy Equinox arms would work?

Thanks for the reply. I'm also pretty confident the parts match too (I did find out that the bushings share the same part number). I may just buy the control arm, pull the old one off and hope like heck the new one fits.

There's another forum member who claims he has the GM Equinox service manual and that it references XL7 along with the Equinox. I posted the same question to him, however, he has yet to respond.

I don't "claim"- GM's ESi does reference the XL7 as Suzuki was formerly partially owned by GM. Generally the best way to reach a forum member is via PM...not posting to a three month old thread.

The suspensions on the Equinox/Torrent/XL7 are all identical to each other and all suspension parts are interchangeable, including the lower control arms. The only suspension part that was XL7 exclusive was the high-load rear shocks on XL7's with the 3rd row seats, which can be replaced with any stock or aftermarket shocks from the Equinox/Torrent.

All of the XL7's mechanical parts are replaceable with equivalent parts from the Equinox/Torrent. The only parts that are Suzuki exclusive are the parts that are only for the XL7 (i.e. interior plastics, body panels, etc.)
