Engine dies during traffic jam and slow acceleration

Hi

I have a Suzuki Ignis 2005 ,M13A engine. Lately the engine indicator light has come on and the engine dies when I am in traffic jam or when driving very slowly. When driving with the aircon on the engine dies much quicker compared to when the aircon is turned off. I have changed the fuel filter already this week but I still face the same problem.
My mechanic has not been able to diagnose the engine problem as his diagnostic tester (Intelligent tester) cannot read it or may be incompatible with the engine type.

Happy to have any suggestions to help me out

Try change the Crank Angle Sensor, the Cam Angle Sensor. Usual suspects when heat is involved - they come good when cooled down again.

Neither of those sensor will cause the complaint...

Your mechanic should check the AIC and MAF..

By the way aquanaut20, what is AIC? I've looked up MAF but can't seem to find out what AIC is in the engine?

Called IAC/AIC (Idle air control)... Maintains idle under varying conditions (loads)

Hello, I have a similar problem - when stop at red lights then want to go the car stalls and only goes after some minutes really pushing the accelerator
all this does not make happy the people behind me in peak hour traffic...
it's a Suzuki Swift
