Sadly, as this is an ‘intermittent‘ problem, often when you bring this into a shop to examine, the intermittent issue doesn’t show itself as they would need to check the battery voltage while the engine is running and the battery light is on. How old is the belt on the alternator? A belt that slips occasionally might be something to look at or replace.
