JUNK I repeat JUNK. The whole idea is close to the same concept as the vortec heads and intakes which just cause turbulence. Hate to inform you but by the time the air is sucked in the intake threw the throttle body and head it already is about as turbulent as it gets.

I would also advise against the Vortec heads from chevy except they are better than the non vortec stock heads but that hs alot to do with how much larger they port the damn things, which is what gets the power not the fancy little grooves.

Mess around with some of these shitty little air what evers and find out how bad the quality is when a piece breaks off and goes strait down the hole plink plink bang.

well, actually, the idea is thus:

The air-thingie spins the air in the intake causing it to go faster, making a partial vacuum between the air in the intake and the air outside, forcing more air into the intake. The limiting factor is the air filter. No little doilie it gonna replace a well-tought out intake. These metal works of modern art block any airflow they might have created. The theory behind these was based on the idea of Tesla-Turbine that used groved and ported sides of a pipe, and only had an effect at about 25-30 PSI...way more than a naturally aspirated engine can come close to. Plus they cost more than a K&N drop in and they have the side effect of not working. I would rather stuff a mouse in my intake.
