Question Swift 2012 Replacement Radio/GPS

I have replaced my factory fitted Radio with a GPS/CD/DVD Radio.
I noticed that the original ariel had an unusual plug for this which seems to be two wires. Am i right in thinking that one wire is the Ariel and the other is a voltage supply back to the roof mount Ariel with a booster!. As i have fitted the new adapter Ariel in the new unit but it has a spare wire that i am not sure where it is suppose to fit.Its not connected at present and i have no signal for any radio to be picked up. Any help greatly appreciated

Thumbs up Swift 2012 replacement Radio/GPS unit

I appreciate that 62 people have viewed my dilemma but in that time i have discovered that the spare wire that is part of the original radio Ariel is a live supply to what i think is a built in signal booster to the Ariel on the mast on the roof at the back of the car. It needs 12v or the reception is so poor to non existent
