My races will be 1 timed lap. The baleno airbox seems to do a good job without the air baffle. I’ll throw in some extra pre filter.

Side note, first drive I made on a public road to go get petrol, car was almost totaled by a red light runner. I decided last moment to make a left turn instead of go straight. That small delay in making a choice prevented me from getting tboned after having just rebuilt the entire car. :/

Far out, good thing you and the car are ok. There are plenty of f*ckwits out there that shouldn't have a licence. But that's my worse fear about cars, you put all this time and money into it for some idiot on there phone to end it all.

No over heating made a short trip. However now my overdrive light started blinking as well as my gear selector light randomly switching off. Going to check my connections but everything shift’s fine. The car feels amaaaaaazing on acceleration though. Brakes also work really wel but still breaking in the brakes. Fuel injectors will be swapped out tomorrow and see how the car feels. Still testing so we’ll see what happens as I start wrapping the car up before I get it inspected. Fixed my instrument panel lights. Super bright LED in the oem green.

So going to try and get rid of the transmission code P0743 (Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Electrical) by doing another flush. I'm seeing the transmission code if I drive the car at speed. It has fresh fluids, but I did notice they got dirty pretty quick, I've only driven the car about 6 miles... This time going to use Royal Purple MAX ATF to fill the transmission. Front polyurethane bushings came in, going to test fit them today and try giving the car a new test drive. Also topping off my radiator with Royal Purple "Purple ICE" coolant additive. I have this week and next to get the baleno ready for its first rally.

End of this month I will be buying the engine for the white baleno. The blue baleno is my test bed for parts and everything has been what I am looking for. I will hopefully get started on the rear brake disk conversion around the same time. As I have a bit of a better understanding of what’s needed I don’t expect it to take longer than a month to get the white baleno on the street again.

So will you be putting a 2.3L motor in the white baleno as well?

Very nice!
Will you be changing the setup of the car motor or suspension to the blue baleno or will it be similar to it?
Motor setup will be the same, the suspension is different already, I have a track focused set of coilovers installed on the white baleno. Maybe will upgrade to a big brake setup with 4 piston brakes in the front.

Code is still not going away from the transmission. I still have incomplete I/M readiness, going to try giving it a longer drive to see if I can get them to complete. May need to switch back to the stock exhaust to get them to complete.

Longer drive completed some of the incomplete readings. I think I needs a even longer drive. The car only has 1 catalyst instead of 2.

1/ 3 to 2/3 tank, not above or below, and from memory at least 20 mins at highway speeds and 3 full cold to operating temp to cold cycles to complete the evap drive cycle. Fill the tank when its incomplete and it starts all over again, let it drop below 1/3 and it resets

I'll give that a shot as I am at about that fuel level now.

I'm not sure on your market ones but its 3 complete drive cycles to get them to complete here. You got a service manual? Details on it should be in there, look under fault code tables and it should give "repair" instructions on the drive cycle required

I do, I will have a peek at them and confirm. Cheers

Let us know how you get on, its that emissions drive cycle and getting them to set " complete or ready" that's a pain. Evap is usually the worst one, that's definitely fuel level critical for tank pressure sensing
