Little by little I'm learning here---

Sammi--86-89 was 1.3 carb., 90-95 1.3 EFI, (but was 90-95 8or16 valves?)--Assuming all were 8

What was 1st and last year for Trac/Kick, (what year did they go 16 valves?)

What year and model of Trac/Kick had the 2.01, (was it 8or16 valves)----Thanks

The 1.6L motor was not offered in the Samurai.

The EFI motors that were in the samurai have the same 1.3L displacement as the carbureted.

The vehicle that you were looking at in your other thread was probably a bottom-end swap from a sidekick.

There are plenty of motor swaps that people do in the Samurai because the base motor leaves a lot to be desired. Some of the most popular are the Suzuki Sidekick motors (1.6L either 8V, 16V) but people have been known to swap in Chevy 4.3L V6's, VW Diesel motors, etc.

Actually, the 1.3 had two flavors. The early (carbed) motor was 1298cm3 and the EFI motor was 1324cm3. Both were referred to as the 1.3ltr.

I wish I knew more about the years you need to know about, but here is what I know.

I have a listing of the diff gears that were available in the track/kicks which was not your question... but the list does break down the years by motor...
I believe the 2ltr came out in 1999.
