It is damn cold here today (-30 celcius with windchill of -42 celcius). Yesterday me wee beast started (it was only -27) but today it is a no-go. When I swapped in the 1.6L the guys at the parts store said there was no block heater available for it. I since forgot to address an alternative solution so does anyone know of a solution? I've got a heater under the hood right now but this is a pain in the a$$.

Let me know if anyone has some ingenius ideas!

Other heaters

I was running my 410 down to about -35 - -40 the first year I had it. Get an oil pan heater and battery heater and you should be good. I like the battery heater pads better, but the blankets are much cheaper

Never had a problem running other than it was really hard to move with the cold thickening all the fluids....tranny does not like -40
