I just purchased a 2007 Jimny.. The car had been in a fender bender so it had some work done to it but runs like a top However... I cannot locate the dipstick.. I brought it back to the shop I purchased it and after 5 guys looked at it, had it up on a lift and still cannot find it. We cannot even find where it would go??? You would think if the stick was missing there would be an empty tube somewhere.. NOTHING. no oil getting on the engine so we dont believe it broke off.. Does anyone have a photo of where the dipstick should be AND better yet, where the pipe it goes in is supposed to be attached to the engine???

I am having this same problem with my 1998 Sidekick Sport! It has the 1.8L engine and I took it in for an oil change and the mechanic cannot find the dipstick! He found a piece of the dipstick handle (it is yellow), but we do not see where the dipstick goes in. Please, if anyone can help, it would be much appreciated!! Thanks!

Use a bright light of some sort.
Don't forget you're looking for a half inch or so of a round black dot.
Looking down from the top in the shadows, well try and find a black circle in
the dark???
Lift the flippin thing in the air and search the oil pan perimeter.
Should be easy enough to find?
