Is the foam people use from home depot? Just zip tied to the beam?
Anyone got a pic of how much they used on the beam? How much to cut?

I happen to find this foam tube at the 99 cent story but they didn't have black or grey.
I think they were sold as kids toys.

I found a bigger picture so I can see how much to cut.
I however don't know if this is a mod that is really needed. Since I have a new top on the way I figured I would add the foam since I read it improves the life of the windows..

I'm just wondering where everybody gets the foam from???

Good pic!
I have never used foam padding like that on my tops, but it looks like a good idea. The factory setup includes a cover for the rear support bar that keeps the metal from contacting the window.

Your pic looks like pipe insulation foam from a hardware store. Your pic is a shot of the new style top that just came out, so I don't know what comes with it.

I did notice that the factory covers are missing from the rear down-tubes off the back of the roll cage though...

Thanks, I've only seen the electric tape version.:D I'll look for a set of the original covers on ebay. It looks a lot cleaner than the foam.
