I want to put 1" wheel spacers on my 09 SX4. Just for the street cred. It will look great with my 18" chrome rims!
Has anyone done this? How does it effect handling?
I tow a 1500lb boat/trailer combo with my car. (Yea really!)
Has anyone towed with spacers on?
Anyone have spacers to sell?
Thanks in advance!

Great for the look, accept early replacement of wheel bearings.

Haven't seen wheel spacer in the 1 inch size
Have seen 1/4 inch, 5/16 inch and 3/8 inch
Is it safe to use 1 inch spacers???

So I went with 1.25"

I measured my studs and decided that if I went with 1.25" or bigger I wouldn't have to trim the studs. (Yea. If the rim doesn't have voids where the old studs go you need the grinder... just to shorten the studs enough to fit the wheel.)
My 18" by 8" (Yes that wide! 225/40/18 rubber) chrome rims don't have voids. So I went big.
Wow does it look good! It handles the same as it did before. (I know I'm undersized with the rubber but I don't care.)
I'm kind of thinking that I should have gone with the 1.5" or bigger! Up to 2"
Here are some Photos. (If i can upload them here. If not check my garage.)

I have a pair of 1-1/2" spacers but wound up not needing them.

I found them on Amazon, naturally.

I hope you will stay away from steep boat ramps, or you will not be looking all that good!!!

Be careful, that's a lot of weight to bring to a stop.
