Hello everyone, I bought Suzuki Swift Sport 1.6 2007. with the m16a engine a few days ago and today after looking around in the engine bay I noticed there is a blue connector with ripped wires. It's on the left side of the engine above the VVT solenoid oil control valve. The engine runs smooth and all so can anyone tell me what is this connector for?

Whatever the case, these cables shouldn't have been cut. They're definitely checking something and you're definitely affecting your fuel economy.. have it repaired immediately by an auto electrician. be well.
I looked around and figured it's for the wire leading to the oil pressure switch, just to be sure i checked if the oil pressure symbol appears on the dashboard when I give contact to the car and it doesn't when it should be. I will see what will happen once it gets repaired.
This valve controls the oil pressure in the engine. because we are talking about the unsurpassed reliability of the models Suzuki, You would NOT have a problem,..... but it is good that it is in operation.. good morning and be well.

Hes already determined its the oil pressure switch wire, its not controlling anything except the light on the dash.
